About

Wellington, 2010

A gaming, consumer-technology and musicĀ journalistĀ from Central Auckland, New Zealand, now based in Seattle, USA. My work has been published in a wide range of magazines and websites, including NetGuide, PC World, Tone, Game Console, Gamefreaks, Gameplanet, Real Groove (RIP), Groove Guide, New Zealand Musician and more. In various capacities, I’ve appeared on TV ONE’s Close Up to talk technology, Radio Live to talk games, and also the Well Played gaming podcast.

I’ve held such roles as a captioning producer at TVNZ, editor of Game Console magazine, reviews editor for NetGuide magazine, editor of Massey Albany’s student publication Satellite Magazine and a researcher for foresight consultancy Futurescope.

I’m a graduate of the University of Canterbury’s Graduate Diploma in Journalism program, also with a B.A. Hons in Mass Communication.

It’s a little-known fact, but I’m also an unqualified, unregistered Nintendo repair technician.
