Insert Coins
Just another quick update – I’m back in Vegas after a few days in San Francisco and LA, where I got to check out a few upcoming games. Some of them are still under embargo, so I won’t be able to talk about them for a few days. I have had a couple of stories published from this trip already, though.
There was this preview/interview/feature article about Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for PlayStation 3. I got to visit Sanzaru, the development studio that’s hard at work on this game, which was a really awesome experience. I think the trip deserves a blog post in itself, but it will have to wait for a few days.
Also, I got to check out PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, which is Sony’s answer to Nintendo’s popular mascot mash-up Super Smash Bros., and I wrote this news piece and this feature story about it.
But I wanted to post some pictures up of somewhere that I went last night. Jen took me to check out Insert Coins, which is a gaming bar here in Vegas! It’s filled with arcade machines and a wide range of consoles that can be hired in a booth or played at the bar itself!
We didn’t stay that long, but I was just interested to take a look around and scope it out for now. But I’m definitely keen to rent out a booth with some friends and get some Mario Kart 64 going over a few beers at some point.
Anyway, I’ve gotta dash. I have a couple of stories about some quite exciting games around the corner, so keep an eye out!
